Flutefix repairs and services flutes directly to the public, as well as through music teachers, schools, and via music shops.

Free Quotations

Send us your flute and we will provide a free quotation for the work required. If you decide not to have the work carried out we will charge you only for the return carriage or you may collect in person without charge.

Basic Set Up

Most flutes will fall out of regulation over time and with playing. We will return your flute to good playing order. Regulate keywork and retension springing and refit joints. This service will suit flutes that do not require more extensive work.

Full Service

Recomended on an anual basis the full service will strip clean you instrument providing a more thorough examination lubrication of all mechanisms, replacement of headcork and any worn tailfelts. Regulate keywork and retension springing and refit joints. This service comes highly recommeded and is our most popular, to provide your instrument with real playing power.

Overhaul

This is our most comprehensive service stripping the instrument to its component form and sonic cleaning before a painstaking reconstruction with replacement of all tail felts, pads and springs as required for an as new feel for you much loved instrument. This service is recommended every five years to match the life expentancy of your pads.
